WELCOME TO KARRI HILL COTTAGES

Are you dreaming of finding the most tranquil, peaceful place, surrounded by natural forest with birds twittering and hopping about?

Imagine walking out and picking some fresh herbs and veggies from an organic garden for your dinner. Cooking your meals in your cottage and having everything you need, on hand.

Sitting by a nice fire when the air gets cool in the evening and just relaxing by the window or outside and watching the light change on the karri trees that surround the paddocks.

Being far enough away from the light pollution, you can observe the night sky, the stars and planets, and the Milky Way in their full splendor.

You go to sleep in a comfortable, cosy bed, dreaming of the beautiful, relaxing day you have just spent in the beautiful South West of Western Australia.

YES, this blissful place exists!! You will find all this at Karri Hill Cottages.

Bring the family, or a group of friends, to experience nature at its best. Just relax and  enjoy the peaceful surroundings, go and explore the karri forest and the Warren River or be awed by the d'Entrecasteaux National Park coastline. Choice of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom cottages as well as a large group facility. You can bring your extended group of family and friends and enjoy having your own village.

Choose this ideal venue for holding workshops and retreats. Four separate buildings can accommodate up to 22 guests and offer guests the opportunity for self-catering and having their own space, when desired.  The large central building with it's impressive large, wooden dining table,  is the perfect space for enjoying meals together and having discussions or games.

This is an ideal location for getting in touch with nature, healing and recharging yourself. We use permaculture principles and organic gardening practices to ensure that we safeguard this little paradise and that the children who come today will find it just as beautiful when they return as adults. We therefore ask our visitors to be considerate with what they leave behind. We compost your food scraps and ask you to limit the rubbish you leave behind and separate it into the appropriate bins for recycling. It is not suited for wild parties or visitors who intend to leave lots of rubbish.

 Surrounded by farm land and looking out over majestic karri forest, the 4 self-catering cottages have a combined total of 8 bedrooms and provide the perfect destination for:

  • Hiking clubs

  • Art and craft groups

  • Bird watchers

Karri Hill Cottages is located between Northcliffe and Pemberton and provides you with comfortable accommodation. Distance from Northcliffe is 12 km, from Pemberton is 28 km. Whether you are a sole traveller, a couple, a larger family or a group with a special interest, you can come and relax here and enjoy the peace and quiet of the farm, surrounded by the mighty karri trees.

With the Munda Biddi biking trail going past the gate and the Bibbulmun walking track just metres away, you are in the perfect place to explore one of the most beautiful parts of the South West region.

In addition to offering accommodation, we invite you to enjoy our permaculture gardens and to pick some fresh vegies and herbs to complement your meals.

We are happy to support walkers and riders with accommodation, supplies and transport when you walk the Bibbulmun Track or cycle the Munda Biddi.

  •  Washing machine and dryers are available by arrangement, 

  • You can arrange for supplies to be left with us.

  • We have a few bikes available for you to use if you stay at one of the cottages.

We are easy to find as the Bibbulmun Schafer hut is just 300 m away, so don't worry if you don't have telephone connection, you can just come and see us as you pass by. If we are not in the gardens at the cottages, you can find us at our house, which is the first entrance on the left on Tobacco Rd, off Karri Hill Road, just 400 m south of the cottages.
